Landscape Artist

In the 20s, O'Keeffe made a name for herself as a landscape artist by painting the skyscrapers of New York City. She also at this time began painting flowers.

In 1929, she discovered New Mexico's stark landscapes and developed a love for Native American and Hispanic cultures. These new inspirations began to take over the influence of her work.

O'Keeffe's love for cultures flourished in the 50s when she began to travel the world and paint landscapes everywhere.

Considered a draftswoman because of the high level of detail and realism her architectural pieces held.
