Landscapes/
Primarily Religious

Bellini was the first artist to create architectural settings. These pieces he created appeared to extend into the space of real. Often used 3/4 views of religious scenes against landscapes.

Most of his work is depicting religious moments and stories.

When Bellini painted he used clear, slow drying oil paints. These paints gave him the deep rich tints and detailed shading. They also gave way to light and color in his work.
