Color – How light hits an object and our eye sees it - Also called hues

•Primary - yellow, red, blue
- can not be made with other colors
- used to mix colors

•Secondary - orange, violet, green
- made by mixing 2 primaries

•Intermediate - blue-violet, blue-green, yellow orange - made by mixing a primary and secondary

•Warm colors - reds, oranges, yellows

•Cool colors - greens, blues, violets

•Monochromatic - color scheme uses different vales of a
single hue

•Complementary - color scheme uses hues across from
each other on color wheel
