Mass
Produced Art
Andy Warhol was making a statement to the art world when he said he believed in "mass produced art of mass produced items". He created his art through screen-printing or silk-screen. This is a method of spreading ink across silk fabric to create an image.
He would create multiples of the same print in different colors or in the case of the Campbell's soup labels, different soups.
The Campbell soup label series are his most famous pieces.
