Project Directions

You will be inspired by Louise Nevelson for your next project. The project is to create your own assemblage out of found objects. You will supply your own materials. Use objects that represent who you are, and what your story is.

Step 1: Begin with sketches. Explore all of your options and think about what materials you will be using. Make of list of materials

Step 2: You may create your own base for these installations. Review how some of Nevelson's work is sectioned. This means you may make your own sections out of cardboard, wood or metal tins. There is not a base size requirement. Be ambitious. Have a minimum of 6 sections.

Step 3: Create your sculpture. It will be abstract but will tell a story.

Step 4: When completed the sculpture will be spray painted to become a monochromatic work of art.
