Her Story

Louise Nevelson's assemblage tell the story of her life. She arranges the wooden debris into a narrative wall sculpture. The pieces she creates thoughts of cities and nature through her use and set up of the wooden pieces. Her experiences of coming to America from Russia as a young girl, her travels as an artist and being a female artist are all represented in these sculptures.

Louise Nevelson's installations challenge the perceived notion of the "male" only sculptors.
