Influence

George Bingham was self-taught except for a few months at Penn Academy of Fine Arts. However, he honed his artistic skills by traveling through Europe. There he studied the art of others. Through his studies, he became concerned with composition and color. He spent a lot of time observing the world and made an effort to depict a moment in time with his paintings.
