Styles of Masks

Native American masks come in three styles.

Single Face - Resembled people of the tribe, also
called portrait masks

Transformation - One mask opens to reveal another

Mechanical - Eyes can bat, mouths will open, contains moving parts

A transformation mask could have up to 3 layers and would be very complex and heavy. The outer mask opened to reveal an inner mask.
