Trump L'oeil

Tromp L'oeil is a Modern art form meaning to "fool the eye". Victor Spinski specialized in creating avant-garde ceramics that did just that.

He experimented throughout his career with many different techniques and materials. Spinski's tromp l'oeil sculptures played with humor in art. As a living artist, his work appeared in many galleries and museums. He had an ability to make objects not made of ceramics look life-like in clay.
