The Color Wheel

A color circle, based on red, yellow and blue, is traditional in the field of art. Sir Isaac Newton developed the first circular diagram of colors in 1666.

The categories of color:

Primary Colors: Yellow, Red, Blue

2 special things about Primary colors.

1. Can not mix any colors together to make them

2. Together they make every other color

Secondary Colors: Orange, Green, Violet

Intermediate Colors: Yellow-orange, red-orange, red-
purple, blue-purple, blue-green & yellow-green

These are the colors formed by mixing a primary and a secondary color.
