History

Begins with the Aztecs of Mesoamerica and the Incas of Peru. Their ceramics were mainly sculptures displaying serpents, skulls, snarling jaguars and their rain-god Tlaloc.

These cultures however never used glazes or the wheel. Pots were either created by hand or they used molds. To create the imagery they did use polychrome of geometric motifs.
