Starry Night is considered Van Gogh's most famous painting. This incredible painting illustrates obvious emotions and demonstrates how powerful his impasto brushstrokes can be. The viewer can feel the wind blow through the painting.
It is thought the painting was the last he painted days before his death. The swirling sky has bright stars. The brightest being the North Star. This painting was created from the hill overlooking this tiny little town where the asylum where he stayed at the time.
